The Ministry of Environment & Wild Life Resources (MoE&WL) and CCET jointly organized technical workshop for guideline on rehabilitation of waste dumps in Sri Lanka on 7th of July at MoE&WL. The relevant ministries, organizations, institutions, private sectors and academe were invited in the technical meeting where the draft guideline was presented and discussed to get their feedback. Further, Professor Mahesh Jayaweera from Moratuwa University made a presentation on the rehabilitation of the "Meethatamulla Dump Site" to share his experience on rehabilitation work with the participants. He also provided some comments/suggestions to the draft guideline. 

The draft guideline will be revised based on the feedback from the above meeting.
