The IGES Centre Collaborating with UNEP on Environmental Technologies (CCET) is established in 2014 with the aim of assisting national, regional and local governments in developing waste management systems that can minimise negative health and environmental impacts and in enabling the transition to resource efficient and sustainable societies. To this end, CCET is supporting our counterpart governments in policy development, institutional capacity building, knowledge production, dissemination and networking towards sustainable waste and resource management, in collaboration with UN Environment, its International Environmental Technology Centre, and wider society.
