Two CCET interns concluded their works on “A review of Environmental Education in ASEAN - challenges, and opportunities” and “Life cycle assessment of single-use plastics towards evidence-based policy recommendations in Sri Lanka”.

Ms. Aksha Fernandez, based in Tokyo, taking a distance learning program at the School of Oriental and African Studies (SOAS), University of London, has been dedicated to supporting projects and research at CCET, and successfully completed her internship on May 16, 2022. She made a great contribution to conducting a survey and analysis on the environmental education in Hoi An city, Vietnam, and also focused on the research on the environmental education policies at the national level in the ASEAN member states.

Mr. Kamalakkannan Sivaprakasan (Kamal) from the University of Peradeniya, Sri Lanka has successfully completed his remote internship at CCET, IGES on May 19, 2022. His study focused on “Life cycle assessment of single-use plastics towards evidence-based policy recommendations in Sri Lanka”. Mr. Kamal recently completed his master of philosophy (MPhil.) at the department of manufacturing and industrial engineering, University of Peradeniya.
