The Ministry of Environment of Sri Lanka, in collaboration with the Secretariat of the Basel, Rotterdam and Stockholm (BRS) Conventions, the Global Tourism Plastics Initiative (GTPI), the Institute for Global Environmental Strategies (IGES), and the civil society organization Help-O, organized a webinar on 17 June 2025 titled “Practical Solutions for Addressing Plastic Pollution in Sri Lanka’s Tourism Sector.”
