On 5 - 6 June 2025, IGES, in collaboration with Department of Environment, Climate Change and Emergency Management (DECEM) and Climate and Clean Air Coalition (CCAC), held a technical review meeting in the Federated States of Micronesia (FSM) to review the draft roadmap while building national and state-level capacity for methane emissions calculation and Measuring, Reporting, and Verification (MRV). The workshop featured expert sessions on IPCC methodologies, digital tools like KoboTool and Emission Quantification Tool (EQT), and discussions on realistic mitigation targets and MRV systems. It marked a key step toward FSM’s national methane roadmap under the Global Methane Pledge, strengthening collaboration and readiness for low-emission development.
