A technical meeting on development of National Action Plan on plastic waste management in Sri Lanka was held on 23 January 2020 at Ministry of Mahawali Development and Environment (MoMDE), Colombo, Sri Lanka. The relevant ministries, organizations, institutions and private sectors were invited in the technical meeting and the meeting was chaired by additional secretary of MoMDE, Mr. M.G.W.M.W.T.B. Dissanayake.

The draft plastic action plan was presented to the technical committee for their feedback.

The draft plastic action plan will be revised based on the feedback from the technical committee and it will be presented in a workshop inviting all the relevant stakeholders in February 2020.
