1. JAKSTRADA Information sharing workshop (Feb 28th, 2020)

CCET has been supporting the development of the waste management strategy at municipality level called JAKSTRADA in one of the top priority tourism destination in the country, Lake Toba. The 6 regencies out of 7 surrounding Lake Toba have completed and submitted their JAKSTRADA to Ministry of Environment and Forestry (KLHK), and the remaining regency also has competed and is going to submit it to KLHK.

Workshop on Finalization of Action Plan on Plastic Waste Management in Sri Lanka

Ministry of Environment and Wildlife Resources (MoE&WL) with the technical assistance of IGES Centre Collaborating with UNEP on Environmental Technologies (CCET), United Nations Environmental Programme - International Environmental Technologies Centre (UNEP-IETC) and Ministry of Environment, Japan, organized a series of technical meetings during the period of March 2018 to January 2020. Action Plan for Plastic Waste Management in Sri Lanka 2020-2025 was drafted based on these technical meetings.

Science textbook review workshop in Bhutan to incorporate the sustainable waste management topics from Ecology Note

Bhutan has the national 9 flagship plans for the national development, and sound waste management is one of the plans. The country is also making efforts to promote environmental education on waste management.

CCET joined the science textbook review workshop for grade 4th - 8th organized by Royal Education Council, Bhutan on Jan 29th with local science teachers. This textbook review workshop is held every 5 year to review and improve the current curriculum and textbooks.
