CCET In-house Seminar

The CCET organized an in-house seminar inviting Mr. Tim Kasten, Deputy Director of Economy Division, UN Environment and Dr. Agamuthu Pariatamby, Professor at Institute of Biological Sciences,  University of Malaya on 21st October 2017 at IGES headquarter in Hayama. The seminar was moderated by Mr.  Kazunobu Onogawa, Director of CCET and attended by IGES researchers.

The waste management policies, laws, regulations, systems and technologies in Myanmar are also at an inception stage when compared to other ASEAN countries.

First Saafu Raajje (Clean Maldives) Seminar for Developing a Regional Waste Management Strategy and Action Plan for Zones 6 & 7 in Maldives

IGES Centre Collaborating with UNEP on Environmental Technologies (CCET), in collaboration with the Ministry of Environment and Energy (MEE) of the Maldives, organised a three-day regional workshop in GA Villingili from 18-20 July 2017 to develop regional and island-level waste management strategies and action plans for Zones 6 & 7.
